taking the air-quotes off the m-word
we first "married" in 1993 by registering as domestic partners in the city of san francisco, in a dreary room with cracked walls in the basement of city hall.
at our second "marriage" in 2004 we became domestic partners in the
state of california thanks to the notary public and marked up postage
at mail boxes, etc. this year, we are taking the air-quotes off the m-word. on the occasion of our fifteenth anniversary, we will reaffirm our commitment to each other by actually getting married. we will have an intimate ceremony and celebration on saturday, september 27, at the lovely home of our gracious friends donna gibbs and dennis minor of hillsborough ca.
more to come …
